Get students moving as a way to engage, learn, and assess their knowledge.
QR Treasure Hunt Generator
- Create a introduction slide that gives the students the instructions and/or any resources they might need throughout the scavenger hunt.
- Have students take a photo at each treasure site to prove they were there.
- Make sure to include a clue on the paper that will lead the student(s) to the next clue.
- Paste the QR codes on a manilla envelope that will allow students to leave their responses to the question.
- Use PowerPoint or Google Presentation as a way to assemble all of your clues and QR codes in one document.
Student Showcase
- Choose a interview topic for students to showcase their academic knowledge.
- Record your students using a Video or Audio recorder.
- Create a QR code that will allow the student to share their recording.
- Share with parents or on a "Wall of Fame" for students to share their understandings.
Reviews/Recommendations
- Students analyze and recommend a literacy piece.
- Record a video or audio clip of the student sharing their analysis and recommendation.
- Create a QR code that will allow the student to share their recording.
- Attach the QR code to the book or make it accessible for others to view.
Showing Background knowledge for books
- Find a website, ebook, video, audio recording, etc. that is related to the content you are presenting.
- Create a QR code that will share this background knowledge.
- Attach the code to the source.
Linking to staff/classroom/school information
- Identify where you are going to post your introductory information.
- Have a student interview a person that will share information regarding the staff member, classroom, or school.
- Create a QR code that will allow community members to access the information.
- Post the QR code in the decided upon location.
